Website Terms and Conditions

Last updated: 4 August 2026

1. About These Terms

These Terms and Conditions govern access to and use of https://strata-co.uk (“the Website”).

By using the Website, you confirm that you accept these terms. If you do not agree to them, you must not use the Website.

These terms apply to the use of the Website. They are not the complete contractual terms governing borehole drilling, irrigation, pumping, testing, filtration, water treatment, maintenance, consultancy or other services supplied by us.

Services will be governed by the quotation, scope of work, service terms and other contractual documents accepted for the relevant project.

2. Information About Us

The Website is operated by:

Strata Co Boreholes & Water Systems Ltd
Company number: 16156844
Registered in: England and Wales
Registered office: The Stables, Chastleton, Moreton-in-Marsh, England, GL56 0SU

3. Website Availability

We may modify, suspend, withdraw or restrict all or part of the Website without notice.

We do not guarantee that:

  • the Website will always be available;

  • access will be uninterrupted or error-free;

  • every function will operate on every device or browser; or

  • Website content will remain unchanged.

We may conduct maintenance, security work and improvements at any time.

4. Website Information Is General

Website content is provided for general information only.

It must not be treated as site-specific:

  • engineering advice;

  • geological or hydrogeological advice;

  • environmental advice;

  • planning or regulatory advice;

  • water-quality or health advice;

  • legal advice; or

  • safety advice.

Borehole feasibility, groundwater conditions, yield, water quality, drilling method, treatment requirements, abstraction controls and project cost depend upon site-specific circumstances.

Website information cannot replace an appropriate consultation, assessment, survey, test, quotation or professional instruction.

You should obtain appropriate project-specific advice before acting or refraining from acting upon Website content.

5. Artificial-Intelligence-Assisted Content

We may use artificial intelligence and other technology-assisted tools to support the preparation, organisation, review or presentation of certain:

  • Website content;

  • correspondence;

  • preliminary documents;

  • research materials; and

  • internal working information.

Where appropriate, AI-assisted material is reviewed by a person before it is published, communicated or materially relied upon.

However, AI-assisted material may occasionally contain errors, omissions or information that is incomplete, outdated or unsuitable for a particular site or project.

Nothing generated or assisted by AI through the Website or in preliminary communications constitutes:

  • a guarantee of groundwater availability, borehole yield or water quality;

  • site-specific geological or hydrogeological advice;

  • engineering, environmental, planning, legal or health advice;

  • a final technical specification or design;

  • a binding quotation, offer or contractual commitment; or

  • a substitute for an appropriate site assessment, survey, test or professional judgement.

Project recommendations, quotations, designs, specifications and contractual decisions remain subject to appropriate human review and, where applicable, confirmation in separate written project documentation.

You must not rely solely upon general Website content or preliminary AI-assisted material when making technical, financial, regulatory, safety-critical or project decisions.

6. No Guarantee of Borehole Yield or Water Quality

Unless expressly agreed in a signed project contract, nothing on the Website represents or guarantees that:

  • groundwater will be encountered;

  • a particular drilling depth will be sufficient;

  • a borehole will achieve a particular yield;

  • water will be suitable for drinking, irrigation, livestock, industrial or another use;

  • water quality or yield will remain constant;

  • planning permission, environmental consent or an abstraction licence will be granted;

  • geological conditions will match published or nearby information; or

  • a project will achieve a stated saving or financial return.

Descriptions of previous work, typical outcomes, nearby boreholes or industry experience do not guarantee the result of another site.

Water intended for drinking or another sensitive use must be appropriately sampled, tested, interpreted and, where necessary, treated and monitored.

7. Enquiries and Quotations

Submitting an enquiry, requesting a consultation or requesting a quotation does not oblige either party to proceed and does not create a contract for services.

A contract will arise only when the applicable quotation, scope of work, terms and acceptance requirements have been completed in accordance with the relevant project documents.

Unless expressly stated in a written quotation:

  • Website descriptions are not binding offers;

  • photographs and illustrations are indicative;

  • timescales are estimates;

  • service availability is subject to confirmation; and

  • general prices or price indications are not project quotations.

You are responsible for ensuring that information submitted through the Website is accurate and sufficiently complete.

8. Consumer Rights

Nothing in these terms excludes, limits or restricts any right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

If you act as a consumer, you may have statutory rights concerning services and contracts concluded at a distance or away from business premises.

Those rights will apply notwithstanding anything inconsistent in these terms.

Applicable cancellation rights and project-specific conditions should be set out in the service documentation supplied before the relevant contract is concluded.

9. Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise stated, we or our licensors own all intellectual-property rights in the Website and its content, including:

  • comply with legal and regulatory obligations.

Our processing of personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy.

The Website may contain links to third-party websites or services.

Links are provided for convenience and do not necessarily constitute our approval or endorsement.

We do not control third-party websites and are not responsible for their:

  • availability;

Suspected criminal conduct may be reported to the appropriate authorities.

14. Our Responsibility for Loss

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for:

  • death or personal injury caused by negligence;

  • fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; or

  • another liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

If you are a consumer, we are responsible for loss or damage caused by our breach of these terms where the loss or damage was a foreseeable result of that breach.

We are not responsible for loss or damage that was not foreseeable.

If you use the Website for business purposes, then, to the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • the Website is provided without representations, conditions or warranties not expressly stated in these terms;

  • we are not liable for loss of profit, revenue, business, contracts, anticipated savings, goodwill, opportunity or data;

  • we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss; and

  • we are not liable for decisions made solely in reliance upon general Website or preliminary AI-assisted content instead of project-specific professional assessment.

This section concerns the use of the Website. Liability arising from contracted services will be governed by the applicable service contract.

15. Privacy and Cookies

Our collection and use of personal information is explained in our Privacy Policy.

Our use of cookies and similar technologies is explained in our Cookie Policy.

Where required, non-essential technologies will be controlled through the Website’s consent mechanism.

16. Linking to Our Website

You may link to the Website in a fair and lawful manner that does not damage our reputation or suggest an association, endorsement or approval that does not exist.

You must not:

  • frame the Website on another website;

  • link from an unlawful or offensive website;

  • misrepresent your relationship with us; or

  • use our branding without permission.

We may withdraw linking permission where reasonably necessary.

17. Changes to These Terms

We may amend these terms to reflect changes to the Website, our business, technology or applicable law.

The current version will be published on this page with its latest revision date.

Your continued use of the Website following publication will be subject to the updated terms.

18. Severability

If any provision is found to be unlawful, invalid or unenforceable, it will be treated as modified to the minimum extent necessary.

If modification is not possible, the affected provision will be deleted.

The remaining provisions will continue in effect.

19. No Waiver

A delay or failure by us to enforce a provision does not waive our right to enforce it later.

20. Third-Party Rights

Unless expressly stated otherwise, these terms do not give any person other than you and us a right to enforce them under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999.

21. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These terms and any non-contractual dispute arising from them are governed by the law of England and Wales.

If you are a consumer resident in another part of the United Kingdom, you retain any mandatory legal protections available to you and may be entitled to bring proceedings in your home courts.

If you act in the course of business, the courts of England and Wales will have exclusive jurisdiction.
